About Our Staff

At our daycare, we know that every child is unique, and we embrace that individuality. Our caring, trained team works closely with the children, guiding them toward independence while supporting them in making choices that feel right for them. We focus on creating a calm and understanding environment where learning is tailored to each child’s needs, helping them grow at their own pace and preparing them for each day ahead..

We are extremely proud of our excellent staff and support staff. We require on-going training for our staff through state classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. All of our staff is trained in First Aid and CPR. We take great pride and responsibility to keep safe, educate and nurture the children within our care.

Meet Our Team

My name is Nyjia Turner, and I’m the founder of The Cubs Club Daycare in Fresno, California. As a mother to a beautiful daughter on the autism spectrum, I know first hand how hard it can be to find childcare that truly understands and supports our children’s unique needs.

After my daughter was removed from a traditional daycare due to her self-harming behaviors and with no formal autism diagnosis at the time I struggled to find safe, supportive care for her. I was working as a deputy sheriff with a demanding schedule, and the stress of not having adequate childcare weighed heavily on me.
That’s when I realized there was a gap in the system and I decided to do something about it.

I left my law enforcement career and created The Cubs Club Daycare to be the very place I had once searched for: a nurturing, inclusive, and understanding environment where children on the spectrum can thrive.
Our daycare serves children ages 2 to 5 and is built on the foundation of patience, acceptance, and support. My goal is to offer compassionate care not only to the children we serve but also to the families who need to know they’re not alone.
At The Cubs Club, we’re more than a daycare we’re a community.
